Early 19th Century Oak Standing Bureau

A small Oak, Standing, ‘Family’ Bureau, late 18th / early 19th century, aged to a wonderful colour.  The bureau flap opens to an interior of pigeonholes and drawers all contained within a shallow well.  Two long drawers below with period swan loop handles and oval escutcheons.  The slender square tapered legs are integral to the frame of the bureau which was made to stand at when in use.  A delightful piece of English Vernacular Furniture.
