Late 17th Century Oak Armchair

A rare late 17th Century Oak Arm Chair of small size, possibly made for a child.  Lancashire / Cheshire region circa 1680.

Of smaller size than normal for such chairs, this chair has more slender uprights and arms than normally seen, and the front stretcher has wear commensurate with use by someone of small stature.

This chair was originally from Chadderton Hall, Lancashire, demolished in 1939.
