Late 18th Century Linen Press by Gillows

A very good late 18th Century Mahogany Linen Press by Gillows of Lancaster circa 1790 – 1800, of simple understated design.  The press has panelled doors of good figure, opening to reveal the four original sliding trays which retain their blue lining paper.  The two short and two long drawers beneath retain their original handles and locks.  The press stands on it’s original shaped bracket feet.  Top right hand drawer is stamped GILLOWS. LANCASTER.
